Mosquito Range Heritage Initiative Logo

Logo redesign for a Colorado environmental non-profit

MRHI Before and After

Challenge

I was approached by the Mosquito Range Heritage Initiative to redesign their logo in 2022.

They were maturing as an organization, trying to develop new partnerships and secure more funding for their work. They'd had their previous logo for a long time, and felt it had served them well, but wanted something updated and less whimsical.

Solution

I'd done a line drawing of the mosquito range for MRHI the year prior. The logo incorporates a vignette of the DeCaLiBron group, four iconic 14-thousand foot peaks, from that drawing. Color variants of the logo feature an earthy palette to honor the unique natural beauty of this mountain range, and clean, bold typography ensures readability at a variety of sizes.
